Less Pain, More Performance.
At Entire Sports Therapy, we may recommend the use of Kinesio Tape in conjunction with other treatment techniques. The Kinesio Taping Method is applied over muscles, helping reduce pain and inflammation during sporting activities. The technique also supports muscles to function properly and relaxes tired and overused muscles, whether from sporting activities or trauma (e.g. surgery, bruising etc).
Kinesio Taping is a technique that provides support and stability to joints and muscles without hindering blood circulation or the full range of motion of muscle on which the tape is attached to. It is also used for preventative maintenance purposes, preventing edema (swelling), and treating muscle and joint pain.
About Kinesio Tape
What is Kinesio Tape?
Kinesio Taping is a technique that revolves around enhancing the body`s natural healing processes. It takes from the science of Kinesiology, also known as the study of human movement. Kinesio Tape is made from a hypoallergenic acrylic glue, which is manufactured to have the same weight, thickness and elasticity of the skin, allowing it to integrate with the body’s sensory system.
How does it work?
With the use of elastic tape, Soft Tissue Therapists, Chiropractors and other clinicians discovered that this tool could help assist tissues and muscles function and heal from an external level. This creates a new approach to helping muscles, nerves and even organs function at maximum level. In the case of athletes, Kinesio Tape helps them reach their peak performance and recover faster from injuries.
